Experiencing the seasons
Getting ready for the winter season in Naone
In the very natural and nature-loving village of Lundo and the district of Naone above it, you can experience the seasons very intensively. At this altitude of around 760m above sea level in Lundo and 950m in Naone, you can experience the cold of late autumn and winter with frost, hoar frost and snow. The unspoiled nature and the rural way of life allow this really valuable quality of life. At this altitude of around 760m above sea level in Lundo and 950m in Naone, you can experience the cold of late autumn and winter with frost, hoar frost and snow.
In agriculture, the soil is prepared for winter rest in late autumn so that new crops can be grown again in spring. This was done in Naone with people coming together from the spiritual college who were interested in agriculture.
In the small vegetable field in Naone, study participants harvested the last vegetable that ripen in autumn, such as the cabbage. Under the guidance of a specialist from the agricultural sector, the respective sections of the small field were determined for the crop rotation in the coming spring.
Another agricultural area is composting. Throughout the year, green waste is collected and stored for compost. This compost, which has matured for a year and a half is spread on the field with a tractor and sometimes by hand.
By working with nature, you experience the characteristics and quality of the seasons very clearly, as shown here in the photos of late autumn. And this creates, in the spirit of ecology, a more intense relationship with the earth and with the higher laws of the cosmos.
